In following on from our latest update on Thursday, 19 March. We would like to confirm a successful trial across our offices in Brisbane and Gold Coast of all staff working from home.

We are even more confident than previously, that when the time arises for this environment we will cope without interruption to you.

We have also made the decision in line with the Government direction to stagger who is staffing each of the offices. Therefore, giving more space between each person & so forth.

On that note, we wanted to let you know that we will be trialing a remote working environment for all of our staff on Friday 20th March, 2020.

As you know, this is a difficult and uncertain time as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread around the globe and impact our way of life. At IAGB our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our people, clients and families of the community.

Like most organisations, we have been reviewing our approach and response to the current situation. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, people, and suppliers, we have taken steps to ensure we minimise risks and provide the best possible service including;

Ensuring our people are safe and well
Our people have been encouraged to stay at home if they feel unwell and seek medical advice before they return. We have also decided to cease all non-essential travel and external face-to face interaction. This includes visitations, meetings, events and conferences.

If you need to see us, please reach out via phone or email and we will work through your requirements with you. This may include virtual meetings if feasible.

Maintaining a high level of service
We are closely monitoring the situation and if required, we are ready and will enforce a remote working environment. We are committed to maintaining our high-quality client service levels and see little to no impact to your service levels. We are also part of a national network of Aviso brokers (www.avisogroup.com.au) who will provide support to you if you are unable to contact us.

If we enforce a remote working environment, we will have your Broker contact you directly with the update and confirm contact details.

Providing timely advice and updates on insurance matters
We are receiving regular updates and information from insurers and the Insurance Council about how this situation impacts insurance products and services will be sharing this directly with impacted customers and publishing on our website and social media.

If you find yourself in financial stress with insurance premiums due or ongoing monthly payments untenable as result of the current situation, please contact our office to discuss and we will work together with your premium funder and insurer to find a solution.
